New Mexico Project for Financial Literacy, Inc., a non-profit organization, is a leader in providing quality financial education in New Mexico. We work with businesses, state agencies, and non-profit organizations to deliver financial education and financial life skills to the citizens and residents of New Mexico. Our work includes contracting for educational services.

New Mexico has many areas of social and economic standing that can and should be dramatically improved. As a prerequisite, improvement in the understanding and application of cash management, the use of debt and equity for wealth creation, plus basics in budgeting, spending and saving is critical to any long term improvement. Many have needs because of family dynamics. Some need merely to have a refresher on the basics. Many are finding themselves on their own for the first time. NMPFL has the mission to assist each New Mexico citizen in achieving a higher level of financial literacy.

NMPFL conducts workshops and classroom training in basic financial life skills, helping participants clarify their values and goals. We seek improved quality of life through responsible financial decisions. NMPFL also conducts seminars, entry and exit research, and follow up training for effectiveness evaluation.

Most of our instructors are professional financial planners. Many of them are Certified Financial Planners®.
