The New Mexico Project for Financial Literacy (NMPFL) provides budget and credit education through online and in-class workshops. The services provided are for general education and are not to be construed by the participant/student as representing any specific and/or professional advice. The NMPFL does not provide legal advice and is not acting in the capacity of investment advisor or tax advisor. NMPFL does not guarantee financial success or the attainment of any individual goal or outcome by the participant.
NMPFL does not endorse any specific legal, tax or investment advisor or strategy. Should the participant desire specific or individualized legal, tax or investment advisory services, the participant is directed to contract these services separately. NMPFL does not pay or receive fees or other consideration for the referral of classroom participants.
NMPFL is funded by grants, fee programs, and contributions. Funding is provided by the Foundation for Financial Planning, Annie E. Casey Foundation, NM Coalition for Financial Education, Wells Fargo Bank, individual donors, United Way, and NM Securities Division.
The fee for the course will be $30 for each person completing the course and includes curriculum materials. Filers are served without regard to their ability to pay. Pro se and pro bono filers are not charged. NMPFL does not pay or receive fees or other consideration for the referral of debtor students. Upon completion of the course, NMPFL will provide a certificate of course completion to the debtor student.
Clients that have not yet decided to file for bankruptcy and who are not represented by an attorney, whose income level is below 150% of federal poverty level for their household, will have their class fee waived.

NMPFL trainers have a CFP®, CPA, and/or MBA or other personal financial planning and personal finance instruction qualifications. Trainers will disclose their qualifications at the commencement of each class.
